Why do Japanese people like to view the Sunrise on new year's day?

I like the sunrise and sunshine.

Because, The sun give off orange light it is very beautiful.

Almost all Japanese people pray to sunrise on new year's day.

but, I heared that American and European don't pray to sun,,,Why?

There are a lot of name of places that relate to the sun in all over Japan.
And the god of Japan is the god of the sun,Amaterasu.

Because, Japanese are an agricultural people.

The sun is the most important point in farming.

So, Japanese people pray to sun for a long time.

You must look sunrise on next new year's day and pray to it!

Jimmy Carter has the same birthday as me.

he is the 39th president in America.he won Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.

I went to Elementaly school in 2002.

He belonged to naval forces untill he was 29 years old.

What will I be at the age of 29?
